Junior Ju Jitsu

Welcome to Junior Ju Jitsu at Gendai no Shinka

The   association   has   a   thriving   and   exciting   junior   classes   which   runs   between   7pm   -   8pm   (9-13 years)   every   Monday   and   Thursday   evening.   If   you   don't   know   too   much   about   Ju   Jitsu   then   let me   just   say   that   by   far   it   is   not   an   easy   martial   art   to   learn   but   with   time   and   training   our junior students become very competent and successful before to long.

What our Junior Students Learn

The   associations   Junior   Ju   Jitsu   program   is   fun,   safe   and   effective   way   to   empower   and   bully proof   your   child.   Ju   Jitsu   will   give   your   child   skills,   confidence   and   coordination.   The   best   part   is, they’ll be able to use these skills off the mat for the rest of their lives. Our   junior   students   learn   Ju   Jitsu   from   a   structured   syllabus   created   by   Sensei   Alex   Kane   and   has approval   from   the   British   Ju   Jitsu   Association   National   Governing   Body.   Please   take   note   that   Ju Jitsu   is   a   physical   martial   art   and   requires   students   to   work   in   pairs   to   practice   techniques   on each   other,   it   does   however   benefit   new   students   who   are   already   quite   active   and   have   good coordination   and   balance.   There   is   always   an   element   of   pain   involved   in   any   martial   art   and   Ju Jitsu   is   no   different.   The   syllabus   contains   throwing,   striking,   kicking   and   locking   techniques. These   of   course   are   taught   safely   and   the   club   has   40mm   tatami   mats   for   students   to   practice on.
